The TNEA 2026 rank list is scheduled for July 1. Your rank is decided by your cutoff mark — Maths + Physics/2 + Chemistry/2, calculated out of 200 — with tie-breaking rules applied by the authority. Once the rank list is out, counselling proceeds in rounds: Round 1 choice filling runs July 20–22 for ranks 1 to 37,976 (aggregate 200 down to 171.33), with allotment July 24–26 and joining July 26–30. Later ranks get Round 2 (Aug 3–5) and Round 3 (Aug 17–19). So between July 1 and your round, you have two to three weeks — use that time to research colleges and build your choice list calmly instead of rushing on the last day. All dates and rank bands are listed on TNEA 2026 key dates.
